Lovely white wedding

One of the most lovely weddings we design last year.
Alyssa and Sal's wedding took place at the
Marriott Del Mar and Immaculate.
When Alyssa said she wanted an all white wedding,
I was so happy!!!
(I love white weddings, though I am from India and
love me some color but there is something
about white wedding that I just love)
Lovely white peonies, and garden roses and gardenias
embellished with lots of bling made this bouquet one of our
all time favorites. Beautiful white floral with white roses,
hydrangea blooms, calla lilies, and tulips was
paired with our lovely white linen.
Congratulation Alyssa and Sal.
It was a privilege to be a part of your wedding!

Valentines is around the corner!

I am a hopeless romantic and holidays like Valentines
just takes it to another level. Holidays like Valentines gives
us an opportunity to create wonderful memories.
For many many years Red has been "The" color.
However over the past few years, many have drifted towards pink.
We designed this table with a combination
of different shades of pink to create a romantic setting.
Lovely white hydrangea, soft pink roses, and tulips
paired with gold flatware and glassware is a
perfect combination for a romantic dinner.

TIP for the Guys: Dress well this valentines!
Put some thought into what your going to wear.
As much as she would love those flowers, jewelry and that
romantic dinner, you dressing well will sweep her of her feet!

DIY Floral Handbag

Now I bet every girl would wanna carry a floral bag.
Today, I'm going to show you how to make them.
Lets jump right into it.

Things you would need

1) You would need a floral form
2) An old wire
3)Old fabric to wrap around the form
4) Hot Glue
5) Corsage pins
6) Mini roses from your garden.
How to make a floral bag

1)Cut the floral form into the shape of a bag.
2) Since the form is pretty sturdy you can insert
this thick wire in the form.
Just so the wire does not come apart use hot glue to
glue to wire to the form.
3) Wrap the bag with some old fabric.
I used a piece of old satin fabric.
4) Wrap the handle (the wire) with a ribbon
5) To add some extra something something,
I blinged out the handle.

6) Apply hot glue on the bag and star gluing the roses.
7) Just so the roses don't fall use corsage pins
to hold the roses to the form.
8) Glue roses on the side and the top on the form.
You don't have to add roses at the bottom of the bag.

                                                            Ttaada the bag is done.

Rose and succulent bouquet.

I love succulents. They have so much texture
and can blend so wonderfully in bouquets.
I wanted to tie in the classic look by wrapping
the bouquet with lace and embellishing it with
2 lovely broaches.
Its got a mix of the classic yet bohemian, wild look
with the succulents and calla lilies.
This bouquet would be perfect for a garden wedding!

Elizabeth and Zach's Wedding at NTC.

A lovely white wedding to start of the week.
This is Elizabeth and Zach's wedding we designed
with white hydrangea blooms, full open roses
and phalaenopsis orchids.
Elizabeth carried a red rose bouquet with calla lilies
embellished with a beautiful broach.
We used rustic urns for the ceremony with orchid
cascading to give a beautiful elegant look.
At the reception we used black candelabras to
give a rustic yet chic and elegant look for this wedding.
The candelabras were embellished with black jewels.
Beautiful white rosette linens from with black chargers from
our private collection adorned the tables.
Candle light is very important and so to give that extra
special touch we wrapped every
pillar candle in exquisite black lace.

Christie Gowdy from Basic Black Weddings and Events planned this
wedding beautifully. You must check out their website
as she recently re-branded.
Its always a pleasure to work with you Christie.

Blue Bouquet.

Looking for something blue to walk down the aisle.
How about hyacinth and anemones?
These beautiful spring blooms are vibrant and will give you that
Monaco blue that you are looking for.

Don't want an all blue bouquet. How about going half way??
How about having half your bouquet be white with beautiful white roses
and half be with in blue with hyacinth and anemones?
When it comes to design I like to give it an edge.

Have a Fabulous Day!

Phalaenopsis orchid.

These orchids are simply magnificent.
We used plethora of these phalaenopsis orchids to design
this table. These lovelies are so vibrant and beautiful
How about I paint you a visual walking
down the aisle with these orchids.
Can't imagine. Take a look HERE
Isn't the wedding just fabulous!!!

We paired this vibrant centerpiece with one of our
amazing sequin blue and gold linen.
Have a fabulous day!!!

Floral Handbags.

These floral purses are perfect for the fashionista in the bridal party.
Something different for bridesmaid or a flower girl.
Cute and adorable these purses look lovely as an accessory on
a flower girl instead of a traditional bouquet or a basket.

Timeless classic white wedding bouquet.

It's been a fabulous holiday season and I'm back now after a nice
mini vacation. I enjoyed every single bit of the holiday season.
From shopping, eating, meeting friends and family and lot more.
I missed home(India) though a little
bit but California will always be home to me!

We started this year with a big bang, a beautiful fabulous wedding!
I will be posting details soon. For now, a timeless classic white bouquet
from this past weekends wedding. The bouquet had gardenia and white roses
which was embellished with feathers, lace, bling and a fabulous broach.
Who said you can't have it all???

Christmas Party.

Last week we had Christmas party here in the studio
We had some family and friends over to celebrate the holiday season.
Its that time of the year, where we love spending time with family
and friends. We had a blast!

To all our friends and family and all that read and visit out blog,
we wish you Happy Holidays!

White Orchids Centerpiece.

A centerpiece with all white orchids is perfect for this time of the year.
We call it "simple opulence".
Can you ever go wrong with orchids? I don't think so!
You will leave no stone unturned when one of these beauties
grace your Christmas table paired with
a lovely gold rosette linen and fine gold flatware.

TIP:
A tall centerpiece is a statement piece.
Its give a wow factor as soon as you enter the room.

Pearls and Orchids.

Be it Christmas or anytime of the year, this all classic white
centerpiece with orchids and pearls will never go out of style.
Trends might come and go, but the classics will always stay.
Beautiful white roses, hydrangeas and orchids paired with
pearls and a vase embellished with miniature crystals stands
tall and elegant.

Roof top dinner party!

Now that the holidays are around the corner, they are many many parties.
Some we get to host and some we may attend.
If you are hosting a party, and you don't have
a location how about a roof top???
This was a party on the roof top we designed for a wonderful client.
Lovely blues hydrangeas, yellow roses, ivory hydrangeas
on a beautiful rustic urn paired with floating candles.

TIP: Just because its the holidays your centerpieces need not be
full of douglas or nobal fir.
You can always have a lush centerpiece with flowers

Dinner for 2?

The holidays are the most romantic time of the year.
The whole ambiance is different.
A simple home cooked meal, lit candles,
some lovely peonies and roses will give you a beautiful setting.
We set this table up with apothecary jars in teal, with a lovely
rosette champagne linen with roses and peonies.

Tip: Take time to leave a lovely note on the refrigerator or in the car.
I took the time, now its your turn.

A new day, a new design!

I have been trying to drift towards the non-conventional
centerpiece recently. A traditional tall centerpiece with a
well rounded design is beautiful. However, more and more clients
I am meeting now a days, want something different.
A different look and style without straying away from the norm.
So I came up with this piece where I used fluffy white hydrangea blooms,
dainty and elegant calla lilies, full open exquisite soft pink peonies,
white phalaenopsis and cymbidium orchids.
All the same flowers but a different design.
Like they say "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder"

We used a simple white love seat covered with a pewter faux fur
to change up the design.
For 2013, I predict either sequin or faux fur will hit it big.

Beautiful Blue Bouquet.

Cool blue roses and hand wired dendrobium orchids
makes this beauty the perfect accessory to walk down the aisle.
This bouquet is wrapped with a beautiful lace and
embellished with a simple and elegant broach.
If your looking to walk down the aisle with a stunning
and striking bouquet, I have the perfect one for you!

Vanda Orchid Bouquet.

I am officially in love with Vanda orchids.
These purple orchids are exquisite.
These beauties paired with green cymbidums and roses
embellished with an fabulous broach
makes this bouquet absolutely stunning!

Tip: Many clients ask us for purple flowers, and they are few to mention.
Purple lizianthus, purple vandas, purple tulips that are always in season.
Flowers like purple hydrangeas, anemones, are not quite available year round.

Pairing flowers like lilac, lavender roses, freshia will give a beautiful
contrast to the bouquet and make it look elegant and beautiful.
My 2cents! Happy Planning!

Head Table.

Feast or Head table can be a statement piece at your wedding!
We set this table up with 3 tall centerpieces with white
hydrangea blooms, mini roses and a splash of soft lavender roses.
We designed the same table with a shorter centerpiece
with the same lovely combinations which you can see HERE .
A beautiful dainty gold lace on the head table screams elegant.
Here is a combination of gold lace with silver satin linen.
This is a combination which many might think is just too much,
on the contrary I believe, the more the details and opulence
the more you will leave a lasting impression imprinted
in the memories of your guests.

Peonies and Pearls.

Looking at these pearls and peonies, I miss the
abundance of peonies during early spring.
I still do spot a few of them here and there now and they are lovely.
These gorgeous peonies in full bloom are simply majestic.
Perfect for a bouquets, centerpieces and ceremony.
The bouquet has the perfect amount of green cymbidiums
paired with soft pink roses and pearls.

Imaging you standing under a gazebo exchanging vows
with hundreds of the gorgeous hanging fluffy white and pink peonies.
Dream away!

Something Blue to walk down the aisle.

If your looking for something blue to walk down the aisle,
I got that something blue for you!
How about a beautiful bouquet with blue roses, blue orchids,
lavender roses and fragrant gardenia wrapped to make a simple
yet stunning bouquet.

Tip: Monaco blue is a rich and strong color that having
a bouquet with only blue roses would looks like splat of ink
on your dress. So we paired these blue roses roses with gardenia
to make it elegant and beautiful.
